Getech Law is a boutique law firm headquartered in Chicago with a Washington D.C. office. Established in 2017, Getech Law has grown rapidly and expanded its practices from intellectual property law to corporate law.
Focusing on artificial intelligence technology, Getech Law’s patent group has been engaged by major players in the AI industry. With the increasing workload, Getech Law’s patent group is now seeking talented interns. Getech Law’s interns work on a diverse range of matters in the IP field. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in different aspects of IP law, including e-commerce litigation based on IP infringement, but mostly will work on patent prosecution matters.
Location: Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland with the option to work remotely.
Requirement:
Technical degree – Getech Law strongly prefers IP candidates with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
Demonstrated patent law interest - Getech Law requires IP candidates to have a demonstrated interest in patent law. Patent Examiner experience is highly valued.
Intellectual property law principles - A working knowledge of intellectual property law principles is required of all IP candidates.
Patent application drafting experience - Getech Law sees patent application drafting experience positively but does not require this experience in our IP candidates.
